"The Freshwater Mollusca of Northern Africa" is a study of the freshwater molluscan species found in the Recent and past eras. It is thorough in its descriptions of the shells, and the drawings are clear, making identifications easy. The range of the study is from the Atlantic Coast to the Red Sea, encompassing the entire width of North Africa. This is the first copy of this book that I have seen, and a search turned up only three other books in Europe and priced significantly higher than this copy. I do not expect this book to have a great deal of appeal to general shell collectors, but it is an essential tool to those interested in the unique shells found in the region that is studied. This book is in new condition.
