"Sea Shells and Other Marine Molluscs of Australia" packs a fantastic amount of information and some beautiful photographs between the covers of a very small-sized book. The author, Nigel Marsh, is an award-winning underwater photographer. The book is part of a series of natural history guides called the "Green Guide," The series has won an award for the best zoological series. The mollusks' descriptions are detailed far beyond what you'll usually find in guide books like this. The introductory sections are well written too. But for me, the outstanding feature of this book are the photographs, many of which are spectacular. As an incentive to those of you that collect "flipped" photos of mollusks, there is an unintentionally created sinistral photo of a Voluta fulgetrum Sowerby, 1825 on the back cover. The book is bargain-priced for what it contains.
