Though this book was published about four years ago, these are the first copies that I have been able to get. The book distributors in Australia have done almost everything in their power to prevent sending these books to the USA. It is a shame because it is, like its' predecessor, an excellent book and one that deserves widespread distribution. The book covers thirty-nine families of terrestrial mollusks and includes more than seven hundred- fifty species. There are thirty-five genera, including five species that are newly described. Most of the species covered in the second volume are shown in color for the first time. There are more than two- thousand color images in the book, as well as the shell's description, distribution maps, primary habitats, and ecological notes. I have very few copies of this book. I am not sure if I can replace them when they are gone. Also, have only two copies of the first volume on hand. I expect that when they are sold, I'll not be able to obtain replacements for them unless there is an efficient and reliable way of getting them from the publisher can be found.
