This is a rare work and one that has not been reprinted as far as we know. It is one of the few works that we have seen covering the freshwater and brackish water mollusks from central Africa. The book is well illustrated and the descriptions are extensive. As well as the study of the mollusks this report contains very detailed information and illustrations on the ecology and topography of the areas in which they are found. This is a used copy with several torn corners and worn edges on its covers. The edges of the covers have been reinforced with acid-free polyester tape. The edges of the pages have been cut for binding.
