As well as superb color photos the book gives us concise but fairly detailed information about these animals and an overview of these shells makes up the first part of the book. For those of us able to dive in the waters off South Africa this is an excellent guide book and it is also a very valuable contribution to malacologists as well. And, of course to shell collectors who have no other way of enjoying the unique beauty of these mollusks.
