No ISBN, first printing in 1976 by Il Ji Sa Publishing, Seoul, Korea, buckram binding with printed dustjacket, about 5.5 by 8.5 inches, 14.5 by 21.5 cm., 196 pages plus 35 page size color photographic plates and 1 plate of black and white photographs, many drawn figures include shells, anatomical, and structural illustrations. The text is in Korean but it is indexed in Korean, with Scientific nomenclature, and with English and Korean names.

I never knew that this book existed until, by chance, I came across a copy of it a few weeks ago. That set off a frantic chase here, and I was able to round up a total of four copies of the book to offer for sale. This apparently was a very successful book and it went through five printings between 1976 and 1986. The copies that I have are all used books in very nice condition. Their dustjackets show the expected wear from shelving, but they are for the most part, only slightly damaged. The bodies of these books appear to be almost new. Some copies have penciled cataloging information on their endpapers and inside the back covers, and may have stamped or written information inside their covers or on their half-title pages. The format of the book will be familiar to anyone who has seen any of the shell books published in Japan at about the same time as this book appeared, The photographic plates are very clear, and they are two-sided with the text on the facing pages. There is almost no other publication that I know of that covers this fully the marine mollusks of Korea. The book includes a few terrestrial mollusks and some freshwater shells too.
