Daya Bay located in the south eastern part Guangdong Province in China to the north east of Hong Kong. It is a region with a diverse marine molluscan population and this book serves as a guide to about 250 common species that are found here. The shells are all illustrated and the photographs are surprisingly good for a book with this low price. The majority of the molluscs covered in the book are gastropods and bivalves. Other classifications are just briefly shown. This book will probably best serve readers traveling to this area as a quick photo identification guide to the shells found in the sea and in the seafood marketplaces. This is a new copy of this book but it has some slight, shallow bends from shipping and some excess glue from binding on the front cover
