ISBN 9781523753383, published in 2016 by Create Space Independent Publishing Platform, paperback, in Spanish, about 15 by 22.5cm., 5.75 by 9 inches, 279 pages, illustrated black and white photographs, drawings, maps, charts, and tables
This book is the only complete study of the Terrestrial Mollusks found in the Pacific region of Nicaragua. It represents a compilation of the studies done by the author, and by Perez and Lopez that were written between 1999 and 2008. In all, there are 94 taxa in 56 genera and in 30 families covered in this book. Included in the study are 33 taxa newly reported from Nicaragua and included in this group are 8 species that possibly have not been described. The shells are photographed in black and white and are of reasonable enough resolution to allow identification of the shells, others are represented by line drawings. The book features excellent distributional maps, charts, and anatomical drawings. This is clearly not a book for those of you with only a casual interest in the land shells, but for serious study of these animals, this book will prove to be a very useful tool.
