"Caracoles Terrestres de Puerto Rico" is a very thorough book offering illustrations and descriptions for the many species of land-dwelling mollusks that are found in Puerto Rico. Although the text is all in Spanish the book should be of interest to everyone with an interest in land-shells. The illustrations are very good, but they would be a lot better if they were printed on glossy paper instead of the matte-finished paper that tends to dull their color. I also wish that the book was bound in a binding that will better stand up to the use that this book will get. It has a glued, so-called "perfect" binding and my experience has shown that this is a misnomer when applied to textbooks. The low price of the book compensates for these faults. The authors have done an excellent job of gathering and presenting this material. These are new copies of the book.
