When I receive a book that I've never sold before, I try to find comparative prices for it. But, in the case of "Kentucky's Land Snails," I have not been able to find a copy offered for sale anywhere else. I've known about this book for a while, but this is the first copy that I've seen. It seems to be a rare book. It is a book that should be better known. Like Dan Dourson's other books, it is well written, well documented, and a very well-illustrated book that covers almost 200 species of terrestrial mollusks found in the state of Kentucky. This copy of "Kentucky's Land Snails" is a used book, but one that very easily can pass as new. The front flyleaf has been inscribed to Kenneth (Emberton), thanking him for the use of his drawings in this book, and is signed by the author.
