"Biodiversity and Conservation of the Mollusca" is a symposium of presentations and papers made at the Eleventh International Malacological Congress held in Siena, Italy, in 1992. There are sixteen articles in this book, and also two prefaces and an introduction to the symposium. The topics covered are, for the most part on biology, conservation, and the status of non-marine mollusks from many countries and others, giving an overview of mollusks as a whole. This copy of the book has been used. While there is no indication of it, this copy belonged to Ken Emberton, who contributed one of the papers to this symposium. It has a stain along the edge of the front cover of the book. It also is stained along the book's open edges that bled into many of the pages' margins. This stain does not interfere with the text. While I am not sure about it, the staining appears similar to something that happens around my office when coffee sloshes out of the cup, usually on my desk.
