A Review of the Columbariinae of the Western Atlantic
With Notes on the Anatomy and Systematic Relationships of the Subfamily
by M.G. Harasewych

Nemoria, Occasional Papers of the Delaware Mus. of Nat. Hist. #27, April 29, 1983, paperback, 15.5 by 23 cm., 6 by 9 inches, 42 pages, text is illustrated with b/w page size photographic plates including some SEM photos, maps, and anatomical drawings

"A Review of the Columbariinae of the Western Atlantic" is a study of this small sub-family of the Turbinellidae found in the Western Atlantic. These mollusks are found only in deep water worldwide, and they are, with only a few exceptions, quite rare. This paper, written in 1983, is the last thorough study of these shells done to date.  "Jerry" Harasewych was able to study all of the holotypes and almost all of the paratypes of these mollusks. This copy of the paper readily can pass as new.
