by R. Ardovini and T. Cossignani
This 2004 publication by L'Informatore Piceno, Italy, bound in laminated boards, 316 pages about 8.5 by 11.75 inches (21.5 by 30 cm) illustrated throughout in color
This book fills the wide gap that existed
in available shell literature covering this part of the world. It makes a welcome addition to anyone’s
shell library. This book illustrates 2300 shells from this region and over 2000
of them are pictured in color. There is a brief discussion of each
family and then the shells belonging to that family are illustrated and
discussed. The geographic area that it covers are the Eastern Atlantic from
North Africa to Senegal and the off shore islands.
