Published as the "La Conchiglia" yearbook for 2001 it is probably not a great shock to those of us familiar with this publication to see that the cover illustration is "flipped" to show a sinistral view of the cover shell. Inside you will find a few more instances of this which is really a shame since it looks as if a lot of time, trouble and expense went into producing this magazine style publication. Right side or flip sided the illustrations are very well done, and while I am not by any means an expert in this family most of what I see in the publication seems to concur with most of the readily available information about these species.this work is now updated and expanded in the Conchological Iconography publication on this family by Vos, but if you aer just seeking a quick refernce guide to the family, this will probably fill your needs.
