The Aquatic Mollusks of the Belgian Congo
With a Geographical and Ecological Account of Congo Malacology
by Henry A. Pilsbry and J. Bequaert

No ISBN, published in 1927 by the American Museum of Natural History as Bulletin of the AMNH, Volume LIII, Article II, pages 69 - 602, paper covers, about 6.25 by 9.5 inches, 15.5 by 24.5 cm.,  illustrated with 1 color plate and 66 plates of black and white photographs, there are also more than 90 drawn and photographic figures in the text and more than 12 maps and tables

This is a rare work and one that has not been reprinted as far as we know. It is one of the few works that we have seen covering the freshwater and brackish water mollusks from central Africa. The book is well illustrated and the descriptions are extensive. As well as the study of the mollusks this report contains very detailed information and illustrations on the ecology and topography of the areas in which they are found. This is a used copy with several torn corners and worn edges on its covers. The edges of the covers have been reinforced with acid-free polyester tape. The edges of the pages have been cut for binding.
