I was fortunate to be able to get a few more copies of this always popular book. It has been out of print for quite a while. While it is not as complete as "Spiny Oysters" which was put together from the final notes of this author and published after his death, it is a very complete treatment of the majority of the shells that make up this colorful and beautiful family of marine bivalves. The color photographs are sharp and detailed and a nice size so that the details of the shells are quite clear. The books that I have are mostly in new condition but a few of them are used but in like new condition. |
