| South African Shells - A Collectors Guide by Deirdre Richards
1981, published by C. Struik, Cape Town, South Africa, laminated boards, 98 pages text and 60 full color plates, 4½ by 8¾ inches (11.5 by 22 cm)
This is probably the most popular guide book that ever has been written about the shells from South Africa. Unfortunately it is long out of print and copies today are few and far between. Some of the information in the book is dated now but for the most part it is still an accurate and easy to use guide to these shells which come from two different oceans. You will find the illustrations and the photos of 527 marine mollusks in this guide book and the illustrations are remarkably good. This is a used copy but it can pass as new. It has a bookplate with the name of the previous owner on the front end paper.
