2008 published by Min Molluscan Research Inst., Korea, hard bound with blue cloth embossed with gold imprint and printed slip case, 426 pages, book size is 7.25 by 10.5 inches (about 19 by 26.5 cm) color plates throughout, text in Korean

This is a beautifully produced book, very well illustrated (mostly 9 images per page) of over 2500 shells, mostly marine but also a few terrestrial and freshwater that is meant to serve as an identification guide to these shells for collectors who can read Korean. The hobby of shell collecting is one that is growing quite rapidly now in Korea and in China and I am sure that Korean collectors will greatly appreciate this book. Those of us who can not read the text (and truthfully there is very little of it in the book) will be able to use the book as an identification guide too since the Latin names are well indexed. It is probably not a book that you will go to immediately since there are other alternative books of this kind, but it would be a good reference work to have in a complete library of molluscan literature.
