Shells of the Philippines
by F.J. Springsteen & F.M. Leobrera
This book is now out of print and it is going to be sorely missed by collectors who did not get it when it was available. Even though it is now somewhat outdated because of the many new species that have been found in the Philippines since its publication date, it is still the best source we have available to us to identify the approximately 1600 species covered in this single volume. . Almost exclusively the coverage is of the marine shells but some coverage is also given to the widely diverse range of terrestrial shells found in the Philippines. These are used books that can almost pass as new. While this book is not as extensive in coverage as are the four volume set, "Philippine Marine Mollusks", they offer adequate coverage of most of the shells from this region and also offer some coverage of the many land shells from the Philippine Islands.
