An excellent little paper back that deserves a place on your book shelf. It has 118 pages that cover more than 400 species of gastropods and bivalves most of which occur in shallow water. The shells are illustrated on full color plates and the text is on a page facing the plates making the book a pleasure to use. There is also some excellent underwater photography by Peter Clarkson included in this book. The book was published in 2000 and the page is only 5.5 by 8.25 inches(13 by 21cm), but there is a wealth of information to be found inside it.
