| Saudi Arabian Seashells
by Doreen Sharabati
1981, VNU Books International, hard cover in cloth with printed dust jacket, 119 pages, about 8¼ by 11 inches (21.5 by 28 cm), illustrated in color throughout
This book is one of first and one of the very few to study the marine molluscs from Saudi Arabia. It is a very well done book and it serves mainly as a guide to these shells (mostly common and found elsewhere as well as in Saudi Arabia) and gives us a look at the habitats where these shells live, the uses that people have found for these shells and much more as well. There is a lot of information squeezed into these pages that would be a special benefit to new collectors. The book is illustrated through out with color photographs of surprisingly good quality and reproduction for a book that was in its time realatively inexpensive. These books are used but they are in excellent condition ranging from as new to very good. |
