Description
Rare Shells of Taiwan In Color
by
T.C. Lan
This book is now also rare and it is a remarkable achievement and a labor of love by the author who was at this time the leading shell dealer and shell expert in Taiwan. The shells that he has to illustrate are among the rarest shells found in Taiwan pretty much at the time that Taiwan was the center of the shell world. Today many of these shells are common and many are still exceedingly rare, but this book is a time capsule of was happening in the world of shells in Taiwan at that time. One plate is devoted to the famous stone cowrie money of ancient China and a few others show shells used as objects for decoration in China. This is a used book but it appears to be like new. It has some very small bumps at the top corners front and back.
