It is surprising that there is not a great deal more literature on the shells that make up these two very popular families and yet this is the only book that I know of that covers these shells on a worldwide basis. Although it was published more than 15 years ago (as of this writing) it is still the only catalog we currently have. It is now a very difficult title to obtain and it is a book that is in much demand. The illustrations are done in black and white drawings and they are more than adequate to help with shell identification. The descriptions are also well written and offer a great help when working with these shells. This is a new book but it has a small scuff mark from shelf wear on the front cover.
