Ranellidae & Personidae of the WorldIt is surprising that there is not a great deal more literature on the shells that make up these two very popular families and yet this is the only book that I know of that covers these shells on a worldwide basis. Although it was published many years ago, it is still the only catalog we currently have covering these shells. The illustrations are done in black and white drawings and they are more than adequate to help with shell identification. The descriptions are also well written and offer a great help when working with these shells. This is a used book from the library of University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and has their library stamp on the back of the title page, it also has some catalog numbers written on this page and again on the title page as well as a booksellers stamp on the back of the front cover. The covers are slightly discolored and it has a few creases on the front cover it is otherwise in very good condition. The body of the book looks almost new. One copy has some glue residue where a small sticker was removed from the spine. This copy also has a small stain on the back cover. I am always glad when we can find this book but it is getting increasingly hard to find copies.
