Even though this book is now quite old it reamians the standard reference work about these rare and unusual shells found (almost exclusively in) New Caledonia. This book shows the gradation and degree of rostration and melanismin found in these shells and shows us what determines the merely uncommon from the super-rare. The book is quite scarce with only 5000 copies originally printed. The copies that I now have are possibly a reprint byut I do not have real evidence of that. |
