Oliva Shells
The Genus Oliva and the Species Problem
by B. Tursch & D. Greifeneder

ISBN 86070-17-9, published in 2001 by L'Informatore Piceno, Ancona, Italy, hardcover with printed dust jacket, 569 pages and 48 full color photo plates showing variations within the species, about 8 by 11.75 inches or 20 by 29.5 cm., illustrated throughout with black and white photographs, drawings and includes many charts and other maps and tables

I can give this book no better review to say that it is the exact opposite of the shoddy work done by Petuch & Sargent in their work on this genus in their "Atlas of the Living Olive Shells of the World". This book by Tursh and Greifeneder is a careful study of more than 30,000 specimens of shells in the genus. Instead of my review I am going to provide a link to the thorough review by Dr. Harry Lee in the Jacksonville Shell-O-Gram which first appeared in the "American Conchologist" publication.  http://www.jaxshells.org/pdfs/tursch.pdf  (If the link does not work copy it into your browser).  These are slightly used books that can pass as new but they have some slight wear to their dustjackets.
