I was not at all sure that we'd be seeing this book again since the author passed away a few months ago. But I was able to get some stock from the lady who is managing and wrapping up the business. This is an amazing book which contains more than 3000 full color photographs (mainly 8 to a page) and by the author's count more than 80,000 words of descriptive text. The photos are a little on the small side but they are sharply detailed and the colors are extremely on the mark. The book is limited to those species found in Asia and the Indo-Pacific and represent a huge amount of gathering of material and photos from many people as well as the contribution of the author. The book is also of importance since there are 350 new species described in its contents. Since these mollusks can not be preserved having a book like this is the next best thing to being able to get into the water and enjoy their remarkable shapes and their beauty first hand.
