New Caribbean Molluscan Faunas
by Edward J. Petuch

ISBN 0-938415-01-8, published in 1987 by CERF, laminated paper covers,  about 8.25 by 11 inches, 21 by 28 cm., 154 pages plus 4-page addendum, illustrations include 1 text figure, 28 black and white photographic plates plus 1 additional b/w plate as part of the addendum

This book, like all of the works by this author is met with a great deal of skepticism by professional molluscan workers and collectors. But, there is a fairly large following for Petuch's works as well. The book proposes numerous new faunal regions and in these regions names a large number of new species. Later research by others has negated many of these claims. But in the book, you will find many unusual shells and many of these are recognized as valid taxonomic entities. This is a used copy of this book that has been autographed by the author on the front title page. The text and plates are clean and like new. The book is slightly bent at its' front upper edges and shows some signs of shelf wear at the lower end of the front cover.
