This book covers over a thousand species of
shells found in South Africa. mainly in shallow water. There are more than 1400 shells
photographed showing the many variations that occur in the shells from
the rich waters of this part of the world. Some of the
shells pictured are a little small but it is great to have this
extensive reference work on the shells from this area. This is a used copy that is almost as new. There is an inscription with the previous owner's name on the front end paper and a small crease at the upper front edge of the jacket. This copy includes the authors notes and revisions and the errata sheet.
