This is the first really comprehensive look at these very beautiful tree snails that once were plentiful in the part of Florida near where I live. The book illustrates about 80 distinct varieties of these shells and there are over 300 photographs of specimens. Information is given on their distribution, migration and their inter-breeding. This is a hard covered book with a dust jacket. It is a new copy. The color plates are not that sharp but they are adequate for identification. It contains 192 pages and it has 7 color and 40 b/w plates. Size is 6 by 9 inches (15 by 23.5cm)and it was published in 2000.
