| Korean Mollusks with Color Illustration by Duk-Ki Min
2002, Shell House, Korea, in Korean, laminated boards in laminated board case with sewn binding, 332 pages of about which half are full page color illustrations, page size is about 8½ by 11¾ inches (about 22 by 30 cm)
This is the earlier of the two books by this author on the shells found in Korea and it is if anything equal to if not surpassing the later book that was published two years after this one. Although the text is in Korean with the exception of the standard Latin nomenclature for the shells the quality of the plates and the overall quality of this beautiful publication more than make up for the inability to read the text. If it can only be used as an iconography than I am willing to accept it on those terms and recommend it highly to those of you who are interested in the mollusks (of all classes) found in this little know part of the Western Pacific. Unfortunately this is a very hard to get title and there is a very limited supply available. |
