| Index to the Species of Mollusca Introduced from 1850 to 1870 by Florence A Ruhoff
1980, Smithsonian Inst. Press, paper covers, 640 pages, about 7¾ to 10¼ inches (20 by 26cm)
This book is a continuation of an earlier work of this type of index by Sherbourne which terminated in 1850. Serious taxonomists will find that this is a treasury of information that can yield the results you are looking for and eliminate endless hours of research time. The index is arranged in three parts. The first is a bibliography which is alphabetical by author and date with cited references to each publication, second is an alphabetical index of species names with reference to the publications in which they appeared, and lastly an index by genera. This copy is almost like new but it has a small tear and crease in the lower back cover.
