Hong Kong Seashells
by John Orr
No ISBN, published in 1985 by The Urban Council, Hong Kong, paperback, about 14.25 by 21.25 cm.,about 5.75 by 8.37 inches, 122 pages, numerous page size color photos, also maps, and structural drawings of seashells
Although this book does not offer extensive coverage for all the mollusks found off the many islands and mainland portion of Hong Kong, it is a nice guide to shell collecting in this region. The book is very nicely illustrated with large color photographs of living mollusks in their natural habitat. It also offers a concise, but well-written overview covering shell anatomy, a guide to their classification, and collecting tips. The price is extraordinarily low for a book of this quality. It is a used copy but apart from a bump to the top outside of the back cover and the last few pages, it is very clean, almost like a new book.
