uscsEncyclopaedia of Mollusca
by Arvind N. Shukla & Rajiv Tyagi
2002. Anmol Publications, India, 3 volume set hard covers with printed dust jacket, about 13 by 21 cm (5¼ by 8¼ inches) 1076 pages illustrated with b/w drawings throughout the books.
This is simply an amazing works on the anatomy, form and function, and biology of the mollusks that I've seen. It is tempting to call this set "everything you wanted to know about mollusks". It is not an identification guide but it is an invaluable source of information about every other aspect of the mollusks. It is written by two professors of biology in Indian universities and they have done a remarkable job of gathering and recording and illustrating the tremendous amount of material that you will find in these books. Although these books are now 10 years old this is the first time that we've come across them. This set is recommended to anyone interested in mollusks as living creatures.
