Description
Cephalopods of the World
edited by P. Jereb and C.F.E. Roper

2005, FAO/United Nations, Rome, laminated heavy paper covers, "perfect" (glued) binding, 260 pages + 9 page size color photo plates, page size about 8 by 11˝ inches (about 20.5 by 29.5 cm) 293 black and white drawings and partially colored maps in text

We are going to have a bit of confusion here because there is another book with the same title in Chinese that we list. This book is one of two volumes produced by the FAO of the Untied Nations that has a great interest in these mollusks as a source of food. This volume is a complete revision of an earlier (1984) work  This volume covers the Nautilus and the Squids and gives extensive information about these animals. In all the book covers six families with 23 genera  and 201 species. The  illustrations are drawings that are extremely detailed and let us see what the species looks like and also shows us some detailed close ups of the features of these advanced mollusks. It looks like a great work and I am trying now to find the second volume to add to our stock.
