This is an earlier
book by the author of "Nudibranchi
del Mediterraneo" and
it like this title features some stunning underwater
photography
of these exquisite creatures. The text is in Italian and it is a
slightly more difficult "read" for those of us who are not well versed
in that language. But a good basic familiarity with underwater life
will help get through the texts concepts at least on a general basis if
not word for word. There are 163 species illustrated in full
color and described in this book and there are many other lovely
photographs interspersed in the text. It is a tough call to make as to
which of these two books I like better. They both are very well done,
but I guess that if I were pushed I'd opt for this one solely on the
basis of the fantastic picture on the cover. |
