| A Review of the Recent Mediterranean & NE Atlantic Species of Muricidae by Roland Houart
2001, Evolver, Rome, Italy, laminated boards, 227 pages, 526 color photos, b&w photos, maps and drawings, about 8½ by 12 inches (about 21.5 by 31.5cm),
A review of the 60 species in the marine molluscan family, Muricidae with the description of one new species and one new subspecies found in the Mediterranean Sea and the NE Atlantic Ocean. Since this is a large book covering only a relatively small number of species you would as you suspect have a very thorough description and depiction of each of these shells. I personally find that a lot of Houart's publications are marred by very poorly photographed specimens but this book seems to be the exception to that finding. It is a very well produced book but unfortunately one that is very difficult to obtain. This is a new copy and it is in perfect condition.
